William Joseph Simonson is one of the few veterans left who served our country from WWII. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 years. He spent his tour in the Pacific on the aircraft carrier – the Bonhomme Richard. Bill spent the majority of his life as an artist/illustrator for the federal government at the Fort Monmouth facility in New Jersey. He married his beautiful wife, Anna, and had five children. Bill has painted many portraits, scenescapes, and cartoons. In his later years – he started to create Children’s Books. Bill turned 95 on May 24, 2023. He is presently working on his 7th book.
